One of best ways to start off your campaign to lose weight (and fast!) is to go on a diet and an appetite suppressant can be your friend.. The good news is that you don’t have to make a go of it on your own. There are plenty of fast weight loss diet programs in the market that can help you trim down the fat and be a new, slimmer you! There are some things you have to remember, though. One, don’t create your own program if you don’t have the expertise. This is a recipe for certain disaster. The tendency is to starve yourself and avoid food altogether, which in the end is not a good idea. Two, beware of fad diets and misleading diets. Some may not just cause discomfort but may also be hazardous to your health. Three, look for a diet that allows you to have fun. Yes, dieting is not all drudgery and suffering. There are some diets that offer you options you can enjoy.

You also have to remember that good nutrition is about having a balanced diet, so be wary of diets that overemphasize just one or a couple of food or food type. Think moderation – not too much but also not too little. In addition, couple your diet with exercise, as this is the wisest combination to ensure that you don’t regain your lost weight.

That said, let’s have a rundown of weight loss diets that you can try:

Meal Delivery Programs such as eDiet (Fresh Prepared Meal Delivery), Bistro M.D., Medifast, and Diet-to-Go.  These programs deliver calorie-controlled meals right at your doorstop.  Depending on their basis principles, these usually offer a balanced combination of carbohydrates, proteins and fats.  These also have different levels of service that cater to different lifestyles.  Some options may include Low Carb, Low Fat and Vegetarian.  These meals are usually the type that can be ordered by phone or via the internet and are meals you can just re-heat.

Weight Watchers

This diet plan has helped millions wage war against weight.  It offers a wide range of food choices and recipes based on their Flexible POINTS Plan and the No Counting Plan.  For the POINTS Plan (where fiber, calories and fat intake are computed based on points), each food item you eat and beverage you drink are given points using the food journal.  This is based on the principle that you should consume less calories than what you actually burn.  That means you can eat whatever you want as long as you stay within your allowable number of points.  The Points Plan offers guidelines on serving sizes and how you can correctly track your points.  Points are also earned when you do some exercises or physical activity.   The goal of these diet programs is to slowly but steadily lose an average of one or two pounds a week until you reach a healthy weight.  To those who don’t want to count the calories, there is the No Counti ng Plan.  It provides a list of food you’re allowed to eat.  From time to time, you can indulge yourself with food that’s not on the list.  The strength of these diet plans are that they come with the Weight Watchers group support system, so that the chances of dropping out are less.

The Sonoma Diet

This is based on the Mediterranean Food Pyramid.  This diet plan promotes gourmet cooking, moderate meal portions and food that’s meant to be enjoyed.  The program is composed of 3 waves.  Wave 1 lasts for 10 days and is aimed at getting rid of your addictions to fatty foods and sugar.  Wave 2 is where you can lose weight based on meals eaten in appropriate portions.  And Wave 3 is all about a healthy eating lifestyle throughout your life.   The Sonoma diet promotes the consumption of power foods such as broccoli, strawberries, tomatoes, almonds, grapes and whole grains.  Power foods are simple yet natural foods that are packed with nutrients.

Atkins Diet

Atkins diet disagrees with other diet plans that point the finger on the size of portion and fat as the culprits of weight gain. Instead, this diet argues, it is starchy and processed carbohydrates that cause weight gain. This diet espouses the radical reduction of your consumption of carbohydrates. During the first two weeks on this diet, the allowable amount of your intake of carbohydrates is reduced to 20 grams of leafy carbohydrates.

Jenny Craig

This weight loss diet also incorporates the need for exercise and strategies to keep you on track.  With this plan, you mainly eat pre-packaged jenny Craig meals.  The plus side of this diet is that it is easy to implement, since you can order this meals via the internet.  The expected weight loss is around 2 pounds a week.  The minus side is that you will be eating prepackaged frozen food.

These are just some weight loss diets. Some have fast effects, while others work slowly but surely – making you lose one or two pounds a week.

The main thing is that you are properly motivated and excited. Attack fat with different tools, not only diet - you can consider acupuncture for weight loss or ear stapling for weight loss. and Just imagine yourself healthy and strong – and wearing that dress with confidence!
